it's been cold here the past couple of days and it is hard to keep warm while doing your everyday routine. I found cute ways to look stylish and stay warm at the same time.
The first thing is to get a thick, warm coat (the one above I got for cheap at T.J MAXX) I like how it has fur on the collar so when you zip it up the fur covers your neck. It has a thick lining and the silhouette clings to your body to give you shape. If you don't like fur on collars, another option is to get a fur scarf. Obviously we all know that fur keeps us warm and therefore it is great for extreme cold weather. I found this scarf at Target.
The second thing is a HAT! hats are a necessity for the winter time and especially if it is really cold out. Here I picked out a simple black slouchy beanie. This kind of hat is chic and you can do anything with it! braid your hair, curl it, put it all up!  there are so many possibilities.
and of course, sun glasses!  you can't make an outfit without that!  :)

New Years is a time for celebration and being with friends. It is also one time that you can get away with having a beautiful dramatic look!  for this year, try a dramatic smokey eye to make your eyes pop and become the center of attention! smokey eyes brighten up your eyes and makes them appear larger than what they really are. Here are some ideas..
You can do a smokey eye with pretty much any color! For New Years Eve, I suggest doing a classic black or brown. For the adventurous, I would try a purple or green smokey eye to compliment your outfit. New Years is about taking chances and ending the year with a BANG! so go out and be adventurous! do something you have never done before! xoxo

So 2014 is approaching and you are looking for the perfect outfit to ring in the new year! this year trends lends towards sparkles, elegant silhouettes, and color!

Picture
The classic 'little black dress' never goes out of style! but update it with a Lacey texture and a belt to bring the outfit together.

Gold and Silver dresses are perfect for ringing in the new years!  they scream party and that you are ready to have some fun! (but of course add some sparkles!) this will make you the center of attention at your get together.
For shoes, add a red or classic black stiletto or pump! the red will give you that pop of color, and the classic black heel with never let you down!

The new year only comes once a year, so this year make it the best that it can be! Wear something that fits your style and makes you the center of attention!

Stocking stuffers, in my opinion, is the hardest to shop for. There are many things that you can put in a stocking to represent that person.  While shopping for stocking stuffers, find things that your love one, or friend, will love! 1. NYX Butter Gloss- my new favorite lip gloss!  it is a moisturizer and lipstick all in one!
2. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer -  this is one of the best primers on the market! it keeps your eyeshadow looking fresh all day.
3. Tory Burch Notepad -  you don't have to get a Tory Burch notepad, get a regular notepad to write down dates/times or important events!  hang them on your dresser or walls to remind you!
4. EOS Lip Balm-  I LOVE this lip balm from EOS!  it is cute, portable and it taste AMAZING!
5. NYX Butter Lip Balm - NYX best moisturizing lip balm!  it keeps your lips soft all day!

Are you trying to find that perfect gift? well here are 5 tips that will help you get the BEST.CHRISTMAS GIFTS.EVER!

1.Make the present an event.
Get creative with the packaging! Rather than just handing them a gift in regular wrapping paper, think of the gifting experience as an event--and you want to make sure they enjoy it

2. Make a list of all the things the person is interested in and things that define who they are. Make this list long--spend at least two full minutes writing down as many things as you can. Now brainstorm something to go with every item on that list, small or big. You don't have to give all of those gifts, but you're going to hit on some cool ideas you wouldn't have otherwise, and when you combine a few of them, your giftee will appreciate how personal and thoughtful you were

3. Do some stalking. If all else fails, stalk. Most people have a wishlist on Amazon, and they'll be pretty surprised and delighted if you somehow found just the thing they wanted without even asking--and that they may have even forgotten they wanted themselves. Look through their Facebook history for clues

4. Include a little bit of yourself. Make it personal in a different way--personalized from you rather than for them. Create a piece of art, write a song, knit a scarf--you get the idea. Combine this with one (or more) of the above suggestions for an ultra-personalized gift.

5. Make them laugh. I always give gag gifts. So find something that will make them laugh out loud!

Hats just might be the only fashion accessory that men know more about than women. It's just so tricky for us females -- sometimes we want to just throw on a baseball cap like the guys, but it's not so easy. Can you wear one with a dress? What about leather pants? Should you even bother wearing one at all?

The answer is yes, you can wear a hat -- as long as it's worn correctly. A hat can be that one accessory that sets you apart, whether you're at a formal event or you're just running some errands. This fall trend is a MUST to add to anyone's closet.

DO wear a woven hat for a casual day look
DON'T over complicate the look! make it simple and a staple to your outfit!

So the latest trend that has made its way on runways, magazine covers, pinterest, and makeup enthusiasts is the one and only cat eye. This, not so new, makeup technique is called the “cat eye” because it lengthens and brightens your eyes to make them appear larger. This technique started in the 1950s with famous pin up girls and models/actresses such as Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. Just like anything in fashion, trends come back into style and everyone starts doing it.

What I really like about this trend is that it is very classy, modern and elegant. You don’t have to go to extremes with this trend, that most magazines do, but you can take it and make it your own. This technique is great for someone who has smaller eyes and wants to make their eyes appear to be larger than what they natural are. It is also good for that adventurous person that loves to try new things and who is not scared of a little change.

There are different variations of this trend, the bottom eye variation, the very think lined option and the subtle girly flared winged version, but the idea is to figure out what makes you feel most comfortable. You don’t want to walk into a party feeling self-conscious because you think your eye liner is too thick. The trick is getting the perfect line weight that is comparable to the shape of your eyes. This can be achieved with finding the right eyeliner to fit the style that you are looking for.
How do you perfect this technique? Practice makes perfect I always say. It is not easy getting this technique down on the first try. If you mess up, try again! But the end result is something you will get complimented on and have everyone coming up to you asking, “How did you do that?”

If you want to do something different and you love vintage looks, I would try this trend. It will make you stand out in the crowd and add a little pizzazz to your ensemble. Great makeup is a key to confidence and it will create the finish look to your Holiday attire.

To Get the Look:
Take the liner of your choice and make a soft line on your eyelid. From the corner of your eye, gradually draw a thin line away from your eye in an upward motion (this will start creating the “cat eye” look.) By doing this you can start making the line as thick or thin as you want it.

For a more dramatic and creative look, make the line thicker on your eye lid and gradually start making that line going away from your eye to make a triangular shape (this will also create a smokey eye effect.)

But while doing this look, always think that sometimes “less” is more. If your attire is more edgy, then go with the more dramatic look. But if you outfit is simple and elegant, I would go with a simple cat eye to give you a more natural, beautiful look that balances everything
